The Bioscience Enterprise programme has close associations with other professional practise MPhil programmes, the biotech business community and biomedical research and healthcare providers in the region. The programme has a close working relationship with Judge Business School and with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge MA, USA , in particular with the MIT Entrepreneurship Center and the Biomedical Enterprise programme.
Judge Business School (JBS)
Judge Business School (JBS)
is an internationally recognised provider of innovative, intellectually
challenging and practical management education. JBS is located adjacent
to the Institute of Biotechnology and is the venue for lectures and activities associated with the Management of Technology
and Innovation (MOTI) components of the programme.
MOTI course components are shared with other MPhil programmes and therefore
the business school provides an important focus for collaborations with
students from other disciplines. MBE students have access to and
make abundant use of the excellent business library at JBS and are enrolled as members
of the Judge Business School Network, an alumni organisation that has a broad, international
membership and provides links to the wider enterprise community.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT)
The MBE is one of six Cambridge University interdisciplinary
Master's degree programmes developed under the auspices of the Professional
Practice Programme of the Cambridge-MIT Institute. The programmes are
interdisciplinary, combining elements of technology, business and policy
and were developed in collaboration with faculty members teaching on similar
programmes at MIT. Sharing of best practise between these two world-class
institutions is a corner stone of their success.
The MBE was modelled on the Biomedical Enterprise Programme,
which provides students with an integrated curriculum focused on the process
of product development and commercialisation in the health care industry.

The MBE programme also benefits from collaboration with
staff of the MIT Entrepreneurship
Center, who facilitate MIT students, alumni and colleagues access
an array of educational programs, networking opportunities, technologies
and resources, both at MIT and around the world. Members of the MIT Entrepreneurship
Center community form a global network to actively advise and assist each
other for mutual benefit, enabling them to set and meet their highest
expectations.
